On occasion, during concert week, the BMSO will offer master classes by our guest artists. More details will be posted closer to the actual time of the master classes.
Young Artist Competition
With two divisions open to North Dakota middle school through college students, the BMSO’s Young Artist Competition is committed to seeking out oustanding young musicians from the local region. The winners will receive a cash prize from the BMSO and an invitation to perform a movement from a concerto, as featured artist with the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra in the current concert season.
The Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Youth Orchestras are under the direction of Dr. Everaldo Martinez, Concertmaster for the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra. The ensembles rehearse on Tuesday afternoons at St. Mary’s Grade School and offer public concerts multiple times each year. To find out how to participate, Contact the BMSO.
